By interlocking smaller scale patterns, the Cage System is a way to see the entire fretboard as one large scale. The Cage System and the 3 note/string method are the two most popular methods to achieve this. This study will focus on the G major scale or the G Ionian mode.This study is not isolated and ideas will connect with other solo studies such as Country Lead Guitar Series, Blues Lead Guitar Series, Rock Lead Guitar Series, Mode Studies, etc.. This is an advanced study. It should take 30-60 minutes to complete your practice after you have become familiar with the exercises.
