The Jim Sutton Institute of Guitar was founded in 1984. It is a school featuring private and correspondence guitar instruction. Students worldwide, from Europe, Canada, Malaysia, Caribbean, Africa, Scandinavia, Asia, Mexico, etc., as well as throughout the United States, currently enjoy correspondence courses and studies offered through the institute. Jim's many years of real world experience in session work, symphony, clubs and concerts augment his studies at the Conservatory of Music at the University of Arizona in Tucson and the Berklee College of Music in Boston. By drawing on his many years of professional teaching and performing experience Jim developed the correspondence courses.
